Bibliotheca has introduced an enhancement to the barcode scanning experience on selfCheck 2500 and selfCheck 3000, helping users more easily identify where to present their library card or barcode for scanning.
The update introduces a new scanner configuration designed to improve visibility and make the scanning area more intuitive for first-time users.
What is changing
The selfCheck 3000 portfolio uses a 2D barcode scanner capable of reading modern barcode formats, including QR codes. Based on customer feedback, Bibliotheca identified an opportunity to make the scanning area easier to recognise during user interactions.
To address this, a new version of the scanner has been introduced that uses a red illumination light in place of the previous white illumination light.
