# staffConnect Gate | Software Version 13.8.3 Release

*March 2026*

Bibliotheca has released staffConnect Gate software version 13.8.3, bringing important updates that improve compatibility with the latest RFID gate firmware and ensure reliable alarm monitoring for library staff.

This update supports our newer RFID gate hardware while also addressing a small number of issues identified in previous versions.

## **What is New**

Version 13.8.3 introduces compatibility improvements required for RFID Gate standard and RFID Gate ultra systems using updated firmware that aligns with Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requirements.

As newer RFID readers are deployed, this software ensures continued stability between the gate hardware and the staffConnect monitoring interface.

## Key Improvements

- Compatibility update for Feig LR5400 readers supporting CRA‑compliant firmware
- Improved time synchronization handling to prevent gate software failures when reader and PC time settings differ
- Fix for manual alarm functionality when a reader disconnects during manual alarming

## Availability

staffConnect Gate version **13.8.3 is available now** through Bibliotheca’s software distribution channels.

This release supports RFID Gate standard and RFID Gate ultra systems equipped with updated firmware and helps ensure reliable alarm monitoring within the staffConnect interface.

Bibliotheca recommends that customers always run with the latest version of the staffConnect gate software to ensure the best performance of your equipment.
