uniFi+ | Windows 11 Now Available for uniFi+ Controllers

March 2026

Bibliotheca has introduced Windows 11 support for uniFi+ display and uniFi+ activ controllers, bringing improved security, extended operating system support timelines, and continued platform reliability.

This update applies to new uniFi+ controllers and provides an upgrade path for certain existing installations.

What is New

New uniFi+ controllers are now delivered with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024, replacing the previous Windows 10 IoT platform.

This operating system provides:

  • Long‑term support and security updates
  • Improved system stability
  • Compatibility with future uniFi+ enhancements

Upgrade Path for Existing Controllers

Libraries using uniFi+ display or uniFi+ activ controllers based on ASUS NUC12 hardware can upgrade to Windows 11.

The upgrade is required to be performed by Bibliotheca technicians during a scheduled service visit and includes configuration to receive updates through Bibliotheca’s managed update services.

New Controller Hardware

Controllers ordered from November 2025 onward are supplied with updated hardware based on ASUS NUC14 and come preinstalled with Windows 11.

Important Note

Older uniFi+ controllers based on Intel NUC10 and earlier platforms are not eligible for a Windows 11 upgrade path.

Upgrade Information

The move to Windows 11 helps ensure uniFi+ continues to operate on a secure and supported platform while enabling future feature development.
