# Windows 11 | The upgrade is coming to flex AMH.

*September 2025*

As libraries continue to rely on flex AMH solutions to streamline returns and sorting, we’re ensuring that every system is equipped for the future. Starting **September 1, 2025**, libraries will be able to upgrade their existing flex AMH installations to **Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024**.

#### **What’s included**

The Windows 11 upgrade is available for:

 ✓ flex AMH 520 / 550 / 570 patron inductions
✓ flex AMH 540 staff induction
 ✓ flex bulkSeparator
 ✓ flex bookDrop PC kit

The upgrade replaces the system’s computer unit with a new, pre-configured unit designed for long-term support, giving libraries a future-ready foundation for the next decade. To ensure a smooth and reliable transition, a Bibliotheca technician will carry out the replacement.

#### **Benefits of Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024**

**✓ Improved security** – strengthened protection to keep systems safe
**✓ Greater stability** – long-term servicing channel ensures reliable operations
**✓ Future-ready platform** – supported with updates through October 2034

We recommend combining the upgrade with the latest flex AMH software releases to maximize performance and compatibility.

#### **New orders moving forward**

All **new flex AMH solutions ordered from April 2026** will automatically ship with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024. Systems ordered before this date will continue to run Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 unless an upgrade is requested.

#### **Important note**

Legacy AMH solutions (such as IRSS, AMH300, and earlier models) will not have a Windows 11 upgrade path.
