April 2025
We’re pleased to announce the release of libraryConnect LINK v1.5. This update brings LINK to near-parity with libraryConnect Devices, making it the go-to platform for centralized monitoring, remote management, and reporting.
Expanded Remote Device Management
LINK v1.5 introduces additional remote-control capabilities that bring it in line with the legacy libraryConnect Devices platform.
With this release, there’s no longer a functional reason to remain on the older platform—LINK now offers a faster, modern interface with equivalent remote management features.
Customers are encouraged to upgrade to take advantage of improved performance, usability, and ongoing product support.
View AMH Sorting Layout
Staff can now view the current AMH sorting layout for a device within LINK. Brings LINK in line with libraryConnect Devices.
Insights: New ‘Payment Detail’ Report
Now includes a full breakdown of each payment by device, type, and time. Includes fines, fees, and library contributions.
SMS Messaging Enhancements
Several enhancements have been made to simplify and expand SMS functionality across products:
▪︎ quickConnect kiosks can now send SMS receipts without being connected to LINK, offering greater flexibility for deployments using only quickConnect.▪︎ Patrons no longer need to enter a country code (e.g., 0044) when providing a phone number—making the SMS process more intuitive.
▪︎ The cloudCheck API now exposes the country code field, laying the groundwork for future enhancements in cloudCheck tablet workflows
New API for Product Data
LINK now exposes a new API for Part Status—adding to existing data feeds for transactions, footfall, and payment. This supports advanced reporting on uptime/downtime metrics.
Parity with libraryConnect Devices
With v1.5, libraryConnect LINK now delivers 99% of the functionality available in libraryConnect Devices.
